What does LGBTQ+ mean?
| Updated onLGBTQ+ is an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (or questioning). The "+" at the end symbolises inclusivity of other sexual orientations or gender identities that are not cishet (cisgender, heterosexual).
This term is generally used to refer to people who are not cishet, and as such sometimes also include people who are asexual, intersex, or any other sexual orientation or gender identity that's not cishet.
